Frequently asked questions
What people ask before they decide.
No detours and no fine print. If something does not exist yet, you will read that word right here.
Would you rather see it than read it? The diagnostic takes 3 minutes and the demo runs on sample data. Neither one asks you to sign up.
What Tesora is and what it isn't
No, and it does not try to. A will defines who inherits, and only a notary office can grant it. Tesora defines what exists and where it is.
The will says to whom. The inventory says what and where. They work together: a will distributes, it does not locate. It can say the house goes to your children and still nobody knows which drawer holds the deed. With your inventory in hand, the appointment at your notary office is worth twice as much.
The map of what you own: what you have, where it is, and who should find it. You answer block by block, in whatever order you want. That builds your Asset File as a PDF and leaves your documents organized in your own Google Drive account.
A treasure nobody can find is a buried treasure. Tesora is the map. You can see it working in the demo with sample data or in how it works.
- It is not a will and it is not a legal act on its own.
- It is not legal, tax, or financial advice.
- It is not a notary office and it is not a financial institution.
- It is not a safe: it does not store keys, passwords, or access credentials.
Tesora is the map, not the safe.
Everything you own, physical and digital:
- House, land, or other real estate
- Cars or other vehicles
- Accounts, investments, or your Afore
- Contracted protection
- A company, or a share of one
- Collections and valuables: art, jewelry, watches, a record collection or a stamp collection
- Furniture and valuable equipment
- Digital things: email, files, social accounts
- Photos and memories
- Trademarks, patents, and rights: registered trademarks, patents, copyrights, licenses, royalties
- Domains and online store
- Crypto
- Money you are owed and money you owe, with proof of what has already been settled
- Your emergency fund, if you have one
- Trusts, shared ownership, and property or accounts abroad
- Identity documents and your e.firma
“Collections and valuables” is wider than it sounds. It is not only art and jewelry. It is also what only you know is worth something: the record collection, the stamps, the mugs, your mother's coat. If nobody knows that piece matters, it gets sold for nothing or thrown out.
Trademarks, patents, and rights have their own blind spot. A trademark nobody renews is lost. A license or a royalty nobody knows about stops getting collected. You register what it is, whose name it is in, when it renews, and who manages it.
What you are owed is yours too, and what you already paid counts too. If someone owes you and nobody else knows, that money never gets collected: it is lost. And if you already paid a supplier in full and there is no record of where the proof sits, they can show up and charge your family a second time. That is why both columns get registered.
Both plans register every kind of asset. Having a domain, an online store, a trademark, or crypto does not force you into Patrimonial.
Every two months you get a short message on WhatsApp. It asks two things: whether your support network is still the right one, and whether anything of yours changed since last time. You answer “All the same” and that is it.
We ask about the people because people are what move most. In five years the accountant changes, the notary changes, the advisor changes. Sometimes the person you trust changes. A perfect inventory with an executor who no longer speaks to you is worth nothing.
That message never says what you own. No amounts, no bank names, no properties, no links, no files. If someone read it over your shoulder, they would learn nothing worth having.
If you do not answer, nothing happens: nothing gets canceled and your inventory does not change. If three notices go by with no answer, we look for you through the other channels you left, and if that fails too, we notify the contacts you designated, with the message you wrote. You can opt out of the reminder whenever you want.
Today that message is sent by hand from Tesora's number. The automation is in progress. See the detail · Feature status.
You and your notary office hold the key to the map: it only reads, you decide.
The keys to the treasure stay yours alone.
Your data and your privacy
Never. And it is not a limitation: it is a design decision. We register that something exists and where it is, never how to get in.
We will never ask you for a password, a PIN, a bank access code, or the recovery phrase for a wallet. If someone walked off with your entire vault, they could not touch a peso of yours. More detail in security.
- The diagnostic runs in your browser. No sign-up, no email, no phone.
- Your progress in the guided inventory is saved on your own device, and you delete it whenever you want.
- Your vault lives in your Google Drive account. Tesora does not keep your inventory on its servers.
The providers involved and what each one does are detailed in the privacy notice.
Only if you authorize it, and you can always decline. Reading official documents is optional: it exists to fill in fields without typos.
If you authorize it, the image is transmitted to Anthropic PBC, in the United States, which returns only the extracted fields. Tesora does not store the image. The provider keeps it for up to 30 calendar days for security and abuse monitoring, and then deletes it. Your data is not used to train artificial intelligence models.
There is always an alternative: you type everything by hand and the result is identical. Not using it takes nothing away from the service.
That is the right question.
- Your Asset File is already downloaded on your computer.
- Your documents live in your Google Drive, under your account, not ours.
- The format is PDF and ordinary folders. You do not need Tesora to read them.
Tesora organizes. It does not hold anything hostage.
Pricing, plans, and guarantee
Free, with no sign-up and without handing over a single personal detail:
- The full diagnostic.
- Your result with your blind spots.
- The interactive demo with sample data.
- The full sample Asset File.
- The entire guided inventory: all 8 blocks, every kind of asset. Not a taste of it.

The guided inventory currently runs in Spanish.
What you pay for is human work: someone doing it with you so you do not leave it half-finished, someone reviewing what you entered and telling you what is missing and what is a risk, your vault ending up in order, and you walking out with the package ready for your notary office. With one exception: if you arrived through a certified advisor or a participating notary office, your upfront cost is covered and you pay no annual fee while your contracted protection stays in force. How your advisor or your notary office comes in.
Upfront cost: Fundación $2,400 MXN (Mexican pesos) and Patrimonial $9,800 MXN, VAT included. It covers the guided inventory, your Asset File, and your vault.
Introductory stage
Annual fee: $599 MXN a year. For a limited time, anyone who joins now does not pay it. We give you at least 30 calendar days' notice before that changes.
That is the floor. It is adjusted each year for inflation.

Tesora does not charge the notary office a commission and does not take a cut of its fee. All the detail is in pricing.
It is for a limited time and we do not publish a closing date. It is not a loose end we have failed to resolve: that is the decision. We are not going to invent a countdown or a number of spots to rush you.
What is defined:
- While the introductory stage lasts, anyone who joins now saves the entire annual fee: $599 MXN a year that stays in your pocket.
- We give you at least 30 calendar days' notice before that changes.
- There is no auto-debit and no automatic charge. You will never get a surprise bill.
This window does close. The day the introductory stage ends, it gets published here and on pricing. That is how it is recorded in feature status.
No. There is no monthly fee and no automatic charge.
You pay an upfront cost and, separately, there is an annual fee of $599 MXN a year that, for a limited time, anyone who joins now does not pay. We never charge a percentage of what you own.
The $599 MXN a year is the floor. It is adjusted each year for inflation.
There are no percentages on what you own and no hidden charges. Any price change is published on the platform with at least 30 calendar days' notice.
When an annual fee comes due, we tell you before that date, with at least 30 calendar days' notice and the exact amount. There is no auto-debit, no automatic charge, and no live payment link: you see the amount and you authorize it.
For a limited time, anyone who joins now skips that annual fee.
What is yours stays with you. What pauses is the tool.
| Item | If you do not renew |
|---|---|
| Your Asset File as a PDF | You keep it. It is yours |
| Your documents in your Google Drive | You keep them. They are yours |
| Editing your inventory | Yes. It runs on your device and nobody switches it off |
| The bimonthly review of your support network | Pauses |
| Your package for the notary office, kept up to date | Pauses |
| Guidance and support | Pauses |
You reactivate whenever you want, with no penalty. Nothing is deleted on your side: your vault lives in your own Google account.
Yes. Going from Fundación to Patrimonial you pay the difference ($7,400 MXN), not the full plan. What you already entered stays as it is.
Yes. Both plans cover both of you.
And what matters is not the savings: it is the cross protection. Ideally both of you with a will, and each one being the other's map. A map that only exists on one side leaves the other side searching.
No. Both plans register every kind of asset, physical and digital.
Patrimonial exists for people with structures in the middle: several companies or shareholdings, trusts, shared ownership, property or accounts abroad. Not for people who own certain assets.
You have 60 days to change your mind. We refund 100% and you keep the PDF of whatever you entered. We do not ask why.
The process: time and progress
The diagnostic is 3 minutes. Most people finish the full guided inventory in two or three sessions of 30 to 45 minutes, and you can stop whenever you want: everything is saved.
You do not need to have the answers before you start. “I don't know” is a valid answer and it turns into a concrete open item on your list.
Your progress is saved and you pick it up whenever you want. There is no deadline.
A half-finished inventory, with the gaps marked, is already worth far more than nothing: we would rather have a visible gap than an invented fact.
Yes. And not halfway: with everything of yours, across all 8 blocks.
You can try it with what is yours: the full guided inventory is free and the Asset File it produces is yours. What you contract is the guidance, the review of what you entered, and the package for your notary office. And if after paying you are not convinced, you have 60 days to ask for your money back.
The guided inventory currently runs in Spanish.
What I get and who receives it
- Asset File as a PDF. Organized by block, with what you registered and what is missing. Yours: you keep it even if you do not renew.
- Structured vault in your own Google Drive, with folders named so someone else can understand them without you.
- Map of open items, sorted by what costs most to lose.
- Preparation package for your notary office, ready to take with you, so the appointment counts.
- Love Letter: what does not fit in an inventory. Context, reasons, instructions only you can give.
- Support network on record: one executor and two contacts.
What you decide, and when you decide it. Today you register them as your support network and you hand them the Asset File as a PDF and access to the folder you choose.
The executor portal —so they get what is theirs without depending on someone remembering— is in development. Its real status is published in feature status, not in a promise.
One important precision: after death, the person who acts is the executor named in your will. The notary office's read access is while you are alive.
The notary office
Tesora organizes. Your notary office attests. Tesora builds your inventory, the structure, the open items, and the package for your appointment. The notary office does what only it can: the will, notarial attestation, and the succession.
The fee is set by each notary office depending on the act, and you pay it directly to them. Tesora does not charge it and does not take a cut.
Today no notary office has completed the certification program. Who is taking part and where each one stands is published on participating notary offices and on feature status. The points still being validated with a notary and a lawyer are there, in those words.
Yes. You can use whichever notary office you want, including the one you already know. None is assigned: the directory informs, it does not assign, and there is no territorial exclusivity.
If you want yours to operate with this standard, invite them to get certified: it costs them nothing and it commits them to buying nothing.
If you come in with someone, or you already have your people
If you arrived through a certified advisor or a participating notary office, your upfront cost is covered and you pay no annual fee while your contracted protection stays in force. Come in with the link they shared with you.
Anyone who arrives directly, without guidance, pays their upfront cost. The list annual fee is $599 MXN a year and, for a limited time, anyone who joins now does not pay it. The certification program for advisors and notary offices is in progress; its real status lives in feature status.
And if you already have your own trusted people —notary, accountant, tax specialist, or wealth advisor—, those are still yours. In the guided inventory you register them as your support network and, if you want, we certify them so they know how to operate with this. Certifying your people costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
